Blackburn Contractors Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10453940). Our registered office is Unit 43 Mitton Road Business Park, Mitton Road, Whalley, Lancashire, BB7 9YE. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means D Blackburn Contractors and D Blackburn Landscaping. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, get in touch through our [Contact Us](https://dblackburncontractors.co.uk/contact-us) page or call us on [01200 469360](tel:01200469360). ### What information we collect We collect information when you: - fill in a form on our website, such as a quote request or enquiry form - fill in a form on one of our Facebook or Instagram adverts - call, email or message us - become a customer and we carry out work for you This can include your name, phone number, email address, postcode and address, details of the work you are interested in, your rough budget and timescale, and whether you own the property. When you visit our website, we also collect information about how you use it, such as the pages you view, through cookies and similar tools. See "Cookies" below. ### How we use your information We use your information to: - reply to your enquiry and arrange a quote or survey - carry out and manage work you ask us to do - keep records of quotes, jobs and payments - send you information you have asked for, and occasional updates about our services (you can opt out at any time) - improve our website and our advertising ### Our legal reasons for using your information - **To take steps you have asked for or to carry out a contract**, such as preparing a quote or doing the work. - **Our legitimate interests** in running and promoting our business, such as following up enquiries and showing our adverts to people likely to be interested. We only do this where it does not override your rights. - **Your consent**, for marketing emails and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time. - **Legal obligations**, such as keeping financial records. ### Advertising and social media We advertise on Facebook and Instagram (Meta) and may advertise on Google. - **Website tools:** our website uses the Meta pixel and similar tools, with your consent, so we can measure our adverts and show them to people who have visited our site. - **Customer lists:** we may share a list of customers' and enquirers' contact details (such as email address and phone number) with Meta and Google. These are converted into a scrambled code (hashed) before they are matched, and are used only to show our adverts to you or to people with similar interests, or to stop showing you adverts you do not need. Meta and Google delete the list once matching is done. - **Lead forms:** if you fill in a form on one of our Facebook or Instagram adverts, Meta passes your answers to us so we can contact you. You can object to this at any time by [contacting us](https://dblackburncontractors.co.uk/contact-us), and you can manage the adverts you see in your Facebook, Instagram and Google settings. ### Who we share your information with We do not sell your information. We share it only with companies that help us run the business, under contracts that require them to keep it safe, including: - our customer records system (HubSpot) - our phone system (Aircall) - our automation tools (Zapier) - Meta and Google, for advertising as described above - our marketing agency, which manages our website and adverts - our accountants, and any subcontractors or suppliers needed to carry out your work Some of these companies store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as UK data transfer agreements. ### How long we keep your information - Enquiries that do not go ahead: up to 2 years from our last contact, then deleted. - Customers: up to 6 years after the work is finished, for accounts, guarantees and legal reasons. - Marketing: until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop. ### Cookies Our website uses essential cookies to work properly. With your consent, it also uses analytics and advertising cookies (including the Meta pixel and Google tools). You can choose which cookies to accept in the cookie banner when you first visit, and change your choice at any time. ### Your rights You have the right to: - ask for a copy of the information we hold about you - ask us to correct or delete it - object to us using it, including for advertising - ask us to limit how we use it - withdraw your consent at any time To use any of these rights, contact us through our [Contact Us](https://dblackburncontractors.co.uk/contact-us) page or call us on [01200 469360](tel:01200469360). We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right.
